San Gimignano: A Guided Tour & Monteriggioni

Outdoor Recreation invites you to head to the streets of the small Etruscan settlement of San Gimignano. This town stands 334m above sea level. Its history begins back in the 10th century. A lively town in the middle ages, San Gimignano served as a urban center for the area. This town's beautiful medieval architecture is sure to send you back in time. 

What to Expect:

After arriving we will link up with our tour guide for a three hour walking tour. Some of the places we will visit along the way will be:

• Piazza Martiri della Liberta'
• Porta all'Arco
• The Baptister
• Chiesa della Misericordia
• Cappella della Croce (Chapel of the Cross)
• Church of San Leo

After our walking tour you will have free time to grab yourself something to eat followed by a trip to Monteriggioni. Monteriggioni was built in 1214 and served in the front line in the Siene war against Florence. Once there you will have admission to the city and museum and have free time to explore on your own.
