Note: This event has already passed.

Boleslawiec Pottery is one of the premiere art forms in central European art. The home of Polish Pottery is in the Silesia region of Poland. The most famous town for Polish Pottery is Boleslawiec. Pottery has been intertwined with Boleslawiec culture for thousands of years, each piece crafted and painted by hand.

In Boleslawiec, ceramics have been a part of the culture for centuries. Due to the geology of the area, special natural clay deposits were left behind millions of years ago. It is of extremely high quality and still plentiful even today. The clay has feldspar and silicon content, which lends itself to world class pieces.

What to expect:

From August 16-19, Boleslawiec will be holding a festival centered around this centuries long tradition. We are going to take you there to enjoy the festivities! Due to the distance we plan to depart Vicenza after work on Friday at 7 p.m. Bring something comfy for the bus ride, because we plan on taking full advantage of our short time there. Departing at 7 p.m. should allow us to arrive in Boleslawiec around 9 a.m. in the morning in order to take advantage of the festival.

We will depart Poland around Noon on Sunday to get back to Vicenza.

Festival festivities will include:

  • Free face painting
  • Free BBQ party
  • Free Polish draft beer
  • Special deals on hand crafted and painted pottery

Come join us for a weekend of fun, maybe even paint a mug or two.
