Army Lodging

Army Lodging Hospitality Programs is passionate about providing quality hotel accommodations to America’s Soldiers, Families, Retirees, and civilians. Army Lodging is your choice for official and leisure travel. Our guests include Department of Defense travelers on official business, as well as military members and their Families traveling on Permanent Change of Station orders. Retirees and Military Families can also make reservations when the facilities are not required for official travelers. Army Lodging is available throughout the United States, Europe, Korea, and Japan at 46 on-post locations.

Military personnel on orders must receive a Certificate or Statement of Non-availability from Army Lodging prior to staying in an off-post hotel in order to be reimbursed for lodging expenses.

Non ID Card Holders (not in IACS)

Casa Toscana is not responsible for you and your guests gaining access to the military installation in Livorno, Italy. Please read carefully below to ensure you and your guest gain access when you arrive. The authorized guest sponsor making initial reservation(s) is responsible for submitting and verifying access is gained before they arrive by following instructions below or contacting Darby IACS office through their contact info below.

Casa Toscana is located on USAG Italy - Darby; therefore, guests are subject to USAREUR directives regarding installation access. If you do not have USAREUR/USAFE-wide installation access and do not coordinate for installation access prior to your arrival, there may be a delay or in some cases denied access to the installation.

When you first arrive at Darby, you will enter through the Main Gate (vehicle gate).  This will allow for the verification of authorized access, and will provide sign-in capability if temporary installation access is necessary.

AER 190-16 prescribes the policy, responsibilities and procedures for granting access to U.S. Forces installations in the European theater by using the Installation Access Control System (IACS). A copy of identification must be submitted with every request. A photo copy of all adult individual(s) passport(s) or Military ID card(s) will suffice. Persons under the age of 18 are not required to have a form of identification submitted.

For those personnel assigned in the USAREUR/USAFE footprint that have installation access granted in IACS throughout USAREUR/USAFE, access will be similar to that on your home-installation.

Individuals without a valid CAC, including Embassy personnel and diplomats, British military stationed in Italy, NATO serving in Italy or other DoD Identification Card, should be placed on the local Darby Military Community Access Roster. Failure to do so will result in substantial delays or possible denied entry to installation.

Installation Access Request Forms may be submitted no sooner than 30 working days and no later than 15 working days prior to your arrival. Installation access requests should be sent to the Darby MP Desk Email.

In order to prevent potential frustration during installation access, upon arrival and throughout your stay, please consider the following:

  • Always carry two forms of identification
  • If you require a sponsor, please ensure that you only attempt entry with your sponsor present
