Sea Kayaking at Lake Garda

Glide through the waters of Lake Garda, navigating along the coast of the Sirmione peninsula. The Garda mountains serve as your backdrop, the historic town of Sirmione as your foreground.

Upon arrival, we will unload our kayaks and have a few minutes to stop at the nearby cafe if you want to grab a quick coffee, change clothing, or use the restroom. For this trip we will utilize sit-on-top kayaks; these kayaks are stable, easy to paddle, and perfect for jumping into the water to cool off. Each participant will be provided with a dry bag to carry essentials. (It is recommended to not leave any valuables in the van.)

After an introduction to paddling and setting up our boats, we'll head out on the open water. Approximately 1.5-2 hours into paddling, we'll reach our lunch destination. We'll reserve a table at a restaurant overlooking the water, though you can choose to pack a lunch or find something else as lunch is not included in the price.

Following our lunch break, we'll hop back in the kayaks for our final hour of paddling featuring some of the most memorable sights of the trip.

At the end of the trip, we'll load up the kayaks, change into dry clothing, and depart for Vicenza.

A note on weather: Typically the weather at this time of year is warm and sunny, though it's still possible to have a rainy day. We will plan to paddle unless the conditions are dangerous to do so — e.g. thunderstorms or high winds. We will provide updates on the weather prior to the trip.
