Matterhorn Ski/Snowboard Weekend

Skip the turkey and hit the slopes!  What better way to start off the ski and snowboard season than with a long weekend at one of Europe's most beautiful resorts? Join Outdoor Recreation as we head to the Italian mountain village of Cervinia — nestled at the foot of the spectacular 4,478 m (14,692 ft) Matterhorn — where we will be lodging at a hotel for the weekend. (The rooms are double rooms, and we can find you a roommate if needed).

During the day, we'll hit the slopes! It may be early in the season, but the altitude and location guarantee snow all year long. We will have most of Thursday, all day Friday and Saturday, and most of Sunday to ski and snowboard. Combining the Italian and Swiss sides, Cervinia boasts 350 kilometers of slopes! Weather permitting, skiers and snowboarders with their passports can travel over the ridge and drop into Switzerland for a day.

Not a skier or snowboarder? Don't worry! There's go karting, ice skating, hikes, and so much more to enjoy even if you're not a fan of the slopes.

Returns: Sunday, December 1 (in the evening)
