BOSS Hydrospeed

Thrill seekers will come face-to-face with rapids up to class 3 on nothing but a hydrospeed! This trip is considered strenuous and is for thrill seekers only. Hydrospeed is an inherently risky activity and the ability to swim is absolutely mandatory. Expect cold water, rocks, powerful waves, and tired legs. Sound fun? Hydrospeed is for you!

Hydrospeeds are heavy duty plastic boards with handles. Your upper body is placed on the board head first, with your legs in the water providing the power (see: kicking) to maneuver.

The guide company will provide wetsuits, PFD’s (life jackets), helmets, hydrospeeds and fins. Some of the helmets have video camera attachments, so feel free to bring yours! But bring some cord to tie it on to the helmet as well, just in case. If you wear glasses, a tether is recommended to keep them from falling off.

Typically the guide company will have photographers along the river. Afterwards, you can check out the photos and purchase a CD if you would like. Bring extra euro in case you would like the photos.

After the activity, we will plan to have lunch at the restaurant on site before heading back to Vicenza.
