Hiking Trip: Piz Boè

Piz Boé is the highest summit in the Sella Group, the culminating point in this vast mountain chain which extends across the center of four passes. It dominates above the Val di Fassa, Val Gardena, Val Badia and the Valle di Arabba. It is considered the most popular "3000 meter peak" in the Dolomites thanks to its easy access (the Sass Pordoi cable car which avoids the tiring ascent) and the splendid panorama from its summit.

We will take the cable car only one way. On the way down we will follow the path n. 627 untill the parking lot. The trip will be cancelled in case of adverse weather.

What to Expect:

We will take a one way trip up the cable car to the summit. We will then descend the rest of the way down on foot (along path 627) until we reach the parking lot.

A note on weather: Outdoor Recreation will review the conditions ahead of time to ensure they are appropriate for the hike. We will not cancel for rain unless it is deemed unsafe for hiking. If it is found that the conditions are not suitable, you will be notified and we will inform you about refund information.

• Hiking boots
• Water and snacks
• Proper clothing/attire for high altitude hiking

• Packed lunch (optional)
• Rain coat
• Small day pack to carry gear
• Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, etc.)
