Holiday Card Lane Contest

Celebrate this holiday season by taking part in the USAG Italy Holiday Card Lane contest. Cards should be themed towards the holiday season using you or your unit as the author. Winners will receive gift cards as their prize. Interested participants need to stop by the Ederle Art Center to register. Participants will get their wooden card from the Ederle Art Center Wood Shop between November 8^th and November 22^nd and supplies to decorate will be available for purchase.

Eligibility:

• All Units/Individuals assigned to USAG Vicenza
• Organizations are limited to ONE entry per unit/individual
• Limited supply available

Judging Criteria:

• Overall Appearance – is the card appealing to look at (catches the eye)? Does it look like thought and time was out into the cards?
• Theme - must be Holiday (“Happy Holidays”, religiously generic) or winter oriented
• Creativity – Is the decorating scheme interesting and unique? Were a variety of decorations used?
• Efficiency – Are the decorations and plywood space used to their fullest potential?
• Artistic Ability – Variety of colors used, quality of graphics.

Prizes:

• 1st Prize = $100.00 Gift Certificate (Franciacorta Village)
• 2nd & 3rd Prizes (Franciacorta Village)

Timeline:

• November 8-22:
  Registration forms accepted through Ederle Art Center and plywood/hardware supplies picked up from Ederle Art Center Wood Shop.
• November 29:
  Cards must be completed and in place NLT 2 p.m. (14:00)
• December 1:
  The winners are announced during the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Caserma Ederle (1-7 p.m.)
• January 5:
  |Cards removed NLT, or remaining cards disposed of by the Art Center.

Location: 

• Holiday Cards are to be set up at the display site by contacting the Ederle Art Center to get assistance in properly placing the cards for display. Displays need to be set up NLT 2 p.m. (14:00), November 29.
• Holiday Cards will be displayed in the grass area in front of the Olsen Ave. The Ederle Art Center will issue a designated spot for your card.
• Cards will be placed in the order received starting from the open area between the grassy designated area, working back towards theater.
• Each unit/individual is responsible for the maintenance of the card, ensuring it looks presentable at all times.
• Units/individual desiring to keep their card must remove it NLT January 5. All remaining cards will be collected by the Art Center for disposal.
