In 1998 an excavation near the Pisa railway station unearthed one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the past century. Where an ancient stream once ran, nearly thirty Roman ships had sunken, remaining buried for nearly 2,000 years! This 5,000 square meter exposition now tells the tale of the city of Pisa from the period of the Etruscans to the times of the Romans.

The museum tour will take approximately 90 minutes and will be followed with free time to discover the beautiful city of Pisa on your own.
