Register Now!The Sound of Music was filmed in 1964 because of the enormous achievement of the musical from Rodgers & Hammerstein The Sound of Music in 1959. Both the musical and film are based on the book The Story of the Trapp Family Singers written by Maria von Trapp in 1949.
What to Expect:
We will follow the footsteps of the Trapp family and take a tour to Salzburg and its surroundings. We'll visit original film settings and feel how Julie Andrews, the lead actress in the film, felt playing Maria von Trapp. Our local guide will take you on a wonderful tour with the breathtaking scenes and landscape where the opening scenes of the movie The Sound of Music was filmed.
