Discover Trieste in the northeastern pocket of Italy, next door to Slovenia! Treiste lies in the northern most part of the high Adriatic in northeastern Italy, near the border of Slovenia. Treiste was one of the oldest parts of the Habsburg Monarchy, belonging to it from 1382 until 1918. In the 19th century it became an important hub for literature and music.
This trip to Trieste will include a walking guided tour of the city and entrance to the Miramar Castle.
