Volterra & San Gimignano Trip

Outdoor Recreation is offering you a chance to wander the streets of Volterra. The walled hilltop town of Volterra will enchant you. The town still has traces of its Etruscan past - it was one of 12 power centers from the 4th through 6th centuries BC - as well as its Roman past. You can see all of these past eras on your visit to Volterra, starting from parts of the walls that go back to Etruscan times but built on through the Middle Ages

What to Expect:

After arriving we will link up with our tour guide for a two hour walking tour. Some of the places we will visit along the way will be:

• Piazza Martiri della Liberta'
• Porta all'Arco
• The Baptister
• Chiesa della Misericordia
• Cappella della Croce (Chapel of the Cross)
• Church of San Leo

After our walking tour you will have free time to enjoy the city on your own as well as to find something for your lunch. We will then depart to San Gimignano for free time to explore this famous Tuscan cities medieval features including fountains, towers and a triangular piazza!
