Let Outdoor Recreation and the staff of Y-40 help you become a certified scuba diver! Imagine yourself immersed into the deepest thermal-heated pool in the world and able to take with you the skills and knowledge needed to explore the depths not just here but elsewhere in the world.
You will begin this course starting at a minimum depth of -1.3 meters before beginning to descend at ease to a maximum of -12 meters (after receiving some exercises to gain confidence with the equipment). This certification will allow you to dive all around the world when led by an expert scuba diver.
This is an integrative course where you will attend the first lessons of the Open Water Diver course. If you want to become an open water diver in the future, just attend the missing lessons during the PADI Open Water Diver Integration.
About the Class:
PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.
PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. It's your course on your time. Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor whenever you have a question. eLearning time commitment: 5-10 hours. It is self-study, so you control the time it takes for you to comfortably go through the material. Most people pace themselves and complete their knowledge development over a few weeks but it can be completed in a matter of days.
