Head off on this amazing Saturday trip to the ancient vineyards of the Valpolicella! The Valpolicella is known for it's red wines. Situated near Lake Garda, this wine-making region has existed since the days of the Roman empire. The grapes in this region are typically of three main varieties: Corvina Veronese, Rondinella, and Molinara. There are also a variety of wine styles produced in this area to include Amarone, a strong wine made from dried grapes.
